Sun Valley is SKI Magazine's #1 Ski Resort in North America for the 2^nd year in a row. Sun Valley is home to Bald Mountain, Dollar Mountain, and the historic Resort Village. Each of these places make Sun Valley such a special destination. 3,000 vertical feet, 3 magnificent ski lodges, minimal lift lines, terrain for all levels of skiers, and easy access for all those staying at the Sun Valley Lodge. Our Diamond Summit 2023 will include an evening dinner on mid mountain at the iconic Roundhouse Restaurant. Even if you are not a skier, you will have a chance to experience the mountain at its finest, beginning with a tram ride up the mountain.  

For those more experienced skiers and snow boarders, Sun Valley will provide a unique ski experience, called the "early ups".  This mountain experience will be a guided tour early in the morning before it is open to the public, meaning a first track experience AND A SUNRISE.

For those skiers/snowboarders with little or no experience that want to learn how to navigate the slopes you will be provided with the best ski instructors in the business. This day will be dedicated to teaching you how to ski from beginning to end. This event will be at Dollar Mountain, a comfortable place to learn how to Ski. Ski/snowboard equipment will be provided if needed. Lift tickets will be available to all Diamond Summit skiers/snowboarders. 

For all skiers/snowboarders, be sure to bring warm clothing, including gloves and ski caps. If you need to buy anything on site, there are more than enough shops at the Lodge or on the Mountain to purchase what you need or want. 

Your cross country skiing experience is just out your door. Discover some of the best cross-country skiing in America, with unmatched trail quality, training programs, clinics, rentals, and a state-of-the-art clubhouse for skiers of all levels. With over 40 km of trails groomed daily for skate and classic skiing, the Sun Valley Nordic & Snowshoe Center provides a head-clearing experience. Our trail system maintains consistent conditions without leaving you gasping for air. Ski and snowshoe equipment will be available .

Smiley Creek Lodge is your gateway to the Stanley Basin under the eyes of rugged Sawtooth Mountains, located in the heart of some of the best recreation on the planet. You will experience a guided tour in a unique winter backyard playground on the latest and greatest Ski Doo machines. Follow groomed trails to pristine alpine lakes where you can enjoy a backcountry lunch with stunning views of the Sawtooth mountains on your adventure. Your guide and will provide riding tips, teach you about the area and get off the beaten path. Your adventure of a lifetime awaits. 

Enjoy a 2 hour guided snowshoe tour on the trails around Galena Lodge. Learn about the history of the area and ecology while trekking through the incredible scenery of the Boulder Mountains. Located 30 minutes north of the Sun Valley Lodge, the historic Galena Lodge is the perfect location for an outdoor snow and winter experience. You will be provided with guides who will fit you with the snowshoes and lead you on an easy snowshoe hike through the edge of the Boulder Mountains. We will also have a chance to dine and imbibe with your favorite beverage at the historic Galena Lodge. This is the perfect winter getaway, letting the hustle and bustle of the outside world pass you by. No cell phone coverage available at this location so leave it at the Resort. 

Sun Valley signature treatments offer guests a variety of luxurious ways to unwind, relax, and rejuvenate. Sun Valley’s stunning two-story reception area welcomes all spa-goers. Their state of the art fitness facility, spacious locker rooms and refined amenities make the spa at Sun Valley a destination to experience.
